hahahah, ew. mayer just wants to be a hippie. bahah. this is wonderfully awful.

this kid at my school has one (i think he's a junior..a magic card kid) and these guys in my grade call it "the crustache" because it's just enough hair to get crust and crumbs stuck in it. ewww.

p.s. i think those photos are misleading without the blog, so here it is...

1.) Witnessed the unbridled power of a blendtec blender. There is nothing this formidable appliance won't blend to perfection. Soups? Yup. How about a blender so powerful that the heat created by its powerful vortex is enough to warm the very soup it blends? I also saw it make mash sweet potatoes. I have one waiting in my kitchen now and I believe if you pull the small tab on the back of box the unit will blend its way out of the packaging.

2.) Stopped by the Esquire house - it's like the Playboy mansion but with more Windsor knots. It was a benefit for VH1's Save The Music Foundation, which I hope to be a very big part of next year. I usually keep my evenings free so that I may buy home furnishings at sensible prices, but seeing as I have ties to both underwriters of the event, I thought I'd stop by.

3.) Ran into ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons again. I love this guy. Forget about him being one of Rock's great badasses for a second, he's as nice and engaging a guy as you'll ever meet. Billy comes up to me, puts his hand on my shoulder and says "You're a bluesman."

"I'm trying to be," I respond self consciously.

"You'll need this then," he says as he hands me a piece of paper rolled up to look like something slightly wider than a cigarette and with a crudely drawn lit end. I get so excited that Billy's handed me something I can keep that we start posing with the fake cigarette, somehow believing for a moment that cameras can pick up inside jokes.

Ah, to be kicked in the face by the steel toed boot of good common sense. Good sense waits for you like that kid with the mullet outside the cafeteria; you don't know if he even goes to your school, and that makes him all the more frightening.


3.) Suggested that Kiefer Sutherland work into an episode of 24 the line "the bomb is in the man's hat!!" He said he would try.

so great. plus the acoustic album is coming out in december.
