if you drive through gainesville on 29, you should stop at the wawa. that's where i always stop when i head south. it's ridiculously cheap compared to
gas here, but i'm not sure if staunton has cheaper gas prices.

I'm afraid to say this, but the cost of gas has been slowly dropping around here. It was $3.48 on Monday and today it was $3.44.

Yeesh. Are we all talking regular 87 gas? Just making sure we're comparing apples to apples.
I heard on the radio this morning that the national average is $3.77/gallon. I'm still below that in Lawrence at $3.60. |

Super Unleaded is actually cheaper than Regular Unleaded in Iowa (yay Ethanol!), and the price in town today is $3.60 at the corporate owned gas stations and
$3.62 at the locally owned gas station.

4.07 is the average for "regular" ol' 87 octane. Its more in some parts of town. Santa Fe is a tourist destination. so we are always 30 cents
more than the rest of the state. With the exception of northern new mexico where its a little more. We have some ethanol here, but its only 5 cents cheaper.
Diesel is the highest average still at about $4.30 per gallon.

Woohoo! I filled my tank up on my way into work yesterday at $3.72 a gallon. When I went by the place at lunch time, it had gone up to $3.89. I saw the others
in town were going up so I stopped immediately when I saw they hadn't gone up yet. Looks like it was a good idea that I did.

I am most worried about gas prices and the affects that it's having on airplane travel. Pretty soon it will be hard to afford to go anywhere! Especially
since it seems every airline now charges for luggage as well. Gosh!
