If anyone caught Jon McLaughlin's Spring tour, you saw Parachute open for him... they're doing a few shows with OAR this summer, and a few other random shows here and there.

Their debut album was released on iTunes today, and it's really good! They're a VERY radio-friendly band, so don't be surprised to see them blow up pretty soon.
Their song She Is Love was featured on a Nivea commercial, and their song Under Control is on one now. (Under Control is also the free single of the week on iTunes - check it out!!)

She Is Love is a cute, pretty song... Ghost is my favorite, though, and I think could be their big single if they release it.

I didn't see a thread for her ......

Sarah is coming out with a Greatest Hits album on Oct 7th, and I'm hoping for a tour and..... Lilith Fair for 2009. I know it's a lot to hope for but I think the time is right for it. I know she's splitting from her husband and he's in the band, which complicates things, but I have my fingers crossed anyway.

He opened for The Swell Season last night and all that I have to say is "wow". He's a cross between Amos Lee and Ray LaMontagne. His cd "The Sun Is Always Brighter"...get it. Awesome.

Just saw the show here in Albuquerque on Saturday. It was really great. Lupe Fiasco and N.E.R.D. were great too. Considering it was about 40 degress out and the show did not start until 1030pm, it was worth freezing balls. Kanye rocked it. Has anyone else gone to a show on this tour?

This is one of my favorite bands. I'm sort of surprised there isn't a thread for them yet, but not really. They are DC based band, that is slowly starting to stretch outside of there. They recently played a couple shows in LA & they play NYC pretty consistently now.

Holy-effing-shit. Have you heard this girl sing?!?!?! I just saw her on Ellen and she is absolutely amazing. Only 15 years old and she has the most unbelievable voice. Wow. Just wow. I am stunned. She is an adorable little thing and she is from the Philippines. She came out to talk to Ellen and she had this sweet little voice and then she got up to sing and I was like, "is that voice coming out of that tiny little girl???" Extraordinary. She's gonna be huge.
