Newsletter: Battle Studies Winter 2010 Tour Dates Announced

We are pleased to officially announce the schedule for the 2010 Winter Arena Tour. As a reminder, everyone who pre-orders a physical or digital copy of Battle Studies through JohnMayer.com by 10pm ET on November 10 qualifies to purchase concert tickets before the general public*.

Does anyone know where the tickets are being sold for these shows? Mayer's website says they are selling tomorrow at noon PDT, which of course is 2 pm CST (my time).

I just talked to Music Today and the guy I talked to said they are no longer doing the Local 83 fan club, and that they aren't selling tickets for Mayer's shows. I am wondering if it is strictly Ticketmaster or maybe through the venue?

So far, this season is amazing! Jillian is so incredibly cute. I hope she finds herself a dreamboat. Of course, I already have some favorites: Kiptyn is a HOTTIE! He hasn't really stuck out personality-wise though. Reid is so incredibly sexy! And I love his personality. He's becoming a fast favorite. Ed is growing on me. Robby is sweet but I don't see her with him. Michael is hilarious and he's another one who is growing on me. I can't stand Jake's voice. He just seems like a goofball to me. And not in a good way. I don't trust Wes. I really liked David but he's turning out to be a psycho. I CAN NOT STAND JUAN! What do you guys think?

If anyone caught Jon McLaughlin's Spring tour, you saw Parachute open for him... they're doing a few shows with OAR this summer, and a few other random shows here and there.

Their debut album was released on iTunes today, and it's really good! They're a VERY radio-friendly band, so don't be surprised to see them blow up pretty soon.
Their song She Is Love was featured on a Nivea commercial, and their song Under Control is on one now. (Under Control is also the free single of the week on iTunes - check it out!!)

She Is Love is a cute, pretty song... Ghost is my favorite, though, and I think could be their big single if they release it.

This is the first new song I've gotten excited about. It has kind of a Paul Simon-esque feel to it. I did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic. I am about to get my hair cut...much needed! I really need some ideas. I've been letting it grow out but I tend to pull it back in a ponytail all the time. I have really curly hair but I also wear it straightened with a flat iron and also curled with a big barrel curling iron. I have a square/round face and a big forehead. Does anyone have any ideas for hairstyles? I'd consider long, medium, or short. However, I'd have to LOVE the style to go short again. Pictures would be appreciated!

Ok, so I know that this might sound kind of strange but I have to mention it because I am having one of my feelings and I can't shake it until I figure out what is causing it this time. Ever since I was little, I will randomly get this strange feeling that something is not right. I get very worrisome and paranoid. It usually happens when something bad is about to happen or has happened to someone I know - and I'm not talking about a little something, it is usually something major that has occurred. Or also, I get that same feeling when I meet a person and there is something that is just not right about them - like they are pretending to be something they are not or they are lying about something or hiding something. Obviously when I get the feelings about a specific person, I know who the feelings are directed towards and I am usually correct in my intuition about them - I just don't know exactly what it is about them, but I know something is not right. As if their shitty customer service weren't enough, now they're literally locking out members. In an effort to ramp up to some brilliant new fan club, they stopped accepting new memberships OR extending memberships for current members unable to renew. Talk about pissing in the faces of those few folks who still stick around to support your sorry excuse for a business.

The good news is, even if they wind up dumping the whole "fan club" idea and doing away with the message boards, member kits, and meet & greets, all signs point to them continuing the presale opportunities. So for those of us who gave up on them long ago (fuck you again, by the way), the only benefit worth paying for will remain once they have succeeded in imploding upon themselves.

The only thing left to do (provided you still have an account that allows you access), is to laugh at the hysteria as it builds among those members...

Ok, I've been avoiding Twitter for as long as I could. But I figure, I did the same thing with Facebook and now look at me. So last night I finally caved and decided to give Twitter a go. After all, I am queen of the status updates. It was slightly tricky/confusing setting everything up, but now I'm rolling. And I'm pretty sure I love it. I figure I'll give it a week trial and if I don't love it by the end of next weekend, I can always delete it.

So now I invite all of you Anti members to give Twitter a go too. Go check it out. Give it a trial run the way I am. Worst case scenario: you delete it in a week. Best case scenario: you find you love getting "tweets" from your friends during the day. I sent invites to a handful of you whose emails I had handy.
